ENDURANCE RACING

Area Motorsport have been involved in Endurance Racing for a Number of years. 10 years ago we supported other teams for 3 seasons in the Blancpain Endurance Series Running a SLS GT3 and a MCLAREN MP4 GT3. In 2016 we entered our first 24HR Race with a Honda Civic Built from the ground up. This would be our first 24HR as a Team and with a car built by us. The Car finished the race with some component failures along the way, it was however a great success to finish. In 2017 we came back with a freshly built car, all the parts replaced that caused us problems previously and we were rewarded greatly. The Civic we’d built not only did the Silverstone 24HR Race with 0 issues covering over 2500KM. We also beat all 13 2.0 Turbo and 3500CC Class Cars which consisted of much more modern machinery and factory built cars.

In 2016 the 750 Motor Club launched the Club Enduro Championship. The championship is split into 3 classes on power to weight. We’ve been ever present in this championship pushing the boundaries of one of our Civics for the 2017 and 2018 season in Class A with wins along the way against GT4 Cars, TCR Cars and other Circuit built machinery before switching to our TCR Car late 2019 with 3 wins in a row in the final 3 Club Enduro Races. The following 2 years saw us become Overall Champions and Class A and B Champions in 2020 and 2021

With our success in the championship and the way we prepare and run our race weekends we started to gain customers for the Championship who wanted our support at the race weekends along with cars building specifically for the championship. This is really the same as we’ve done for years with Civic Cup however the way the race weekends are planned are vastly different due to the type of racing. For the majority of 2019 we ran 4 cars in Club Enduro, more than any other Team. We came away this year with 2nd in Class A 300 HP Per Tonne and Luke Handley 3rd in Class B 240 BHP per tonne. Following years of 2020 and 2021 saw us field 6 cars at ever round and come away in both years as Overall Champions, Class A Champions and Class B Champions.
